So much has changed within the past week or so that it can make me dizzy if I let it. I'm now living in Virginia once again, after making a decision to leave Texas a few weeks early and driving 1200+ miles straight (I know, I'm crazy and it wasn't safe). However, I find that I'm content. I'm content with where the Lord has me right now in my life, and even through the pain of losing the person I loved so deeply, I find that God is still right beside me and ready to give me a peace and joy that I crave!
One thing God has really taught me recently is that no matter what life circumstances I find myself in, as long as He is receiving the most glory through my situation, that is ultimately what I desire most. Whether I be struggling with pain and hurt every day or whether I'm joyous and liberated from sadness, I want God to be most glorified. Not I, but Christ. If God receives more glory during a painful circumstance in my life compared to what I think would be a better circumstance, then so be it! He is God, and I trust Him fully! He knows my heart more than I know it myself, and I trust He knows what He is doing! Praise be to God for being sovereign and accomplishing His plans! Not my plans, but His plans...
There is such peace in fully giving over my hearts desires and wants to Him, I can't even explain it. I would never thought I could be this content and full of peace only a few weeks out of my beautiful relationship with Rick, but I am. May He receive all the praise and glory that is due Him, and I pray every day that I live my life in a manner that people will see Christ in me. One of my favorite phrases I'm going to use again, "To God be the glory, great things He has done!"
Living for His glory and until He comes,

Lunch break at 1:30AM
Praise the Lord for lunch breaks! It's been a busier night here in the ED than what this little hospital usually has, and I couldn't wait to get away for my lunch. I am learning more each day to enjoy being quiet. Just some time between me and God and where I can process my thoughts. God is in the stillness if you let Him speak to you...the quiet escaping of the world provides me with more rejuvenation to finish out my shift than anything else...including food and coffee!
I've been looking thru my pictures I have on my phone and I realize just how much I miss living by the beach. Who knew Norfolk and Virginia Beach were so beautiful? Absence certainly does make the heart grow fonder, in more than just human relationships! I'm ready to be out of Houston, but am waiting (trying to patiently!) on the Lord to sow me where I'm to go next. Doesnt have to be near the ocean which would of course be nice...I could live in North Dakota and be content if I knew that was where God wanted me.... and even realizing that statement I definitely did not used to be able to say! God is doing some incredible working in my heart, and although a good portion of it is painful to endure, I know the end result will be beautiful and completely worth it! Thank you God for your faithfulness to us even when we've been unfaithful!
Gotta head back into the ED...I hope everyone is dreamin sweetly...

I'm sitting here in my apartment, and I'm thinking...what is my life's purpose? God, what do YOU have for my life?? I have my own desires, my desires for good friends, healthy family relationships, desire for true love and a happy marriage, and desire to be content with my life. Not that I am not content, I am actually.....Yep, here in the middle of Texas by myself. I didn't think I'd get to this point, the point that I'm truly content and ok with where God has me.... I give God all the glory!
Am currently listening to "None but Jesus" by Hillsong....."All my delight is in you Lord, all of my hope, and all of my strength..." It's a beautiful song, I discovered it on the radio today while out driving with the windows down and sunroof open. It is beautiful outside today here in Houston....upper 60s, sunny, with just a few clouds in the sky. I absolutely LOVE to drive with the windows rolled down....and while worshipping my Lord at the same time, I experience a personal touch of freedom....freedom from life's troubles and worries, freedom from who the world says I need to be, freedom to be who God has created me to be. A treasured, gifted, beautiful, and confident person. And anyone who might be reading this.....THAT is who He has made you to be as well!!
Be blessed today! Walk in His peace, live in His joy, and experience His perfect goodness and love for you!
